"Please note... There are a few references that associate Missouri Melvina
(Brooks) Dennard as being the daughter of John and Martha (Mercer) Brooks.
That is in error! They've apparently made that connection because they are
buried in the same cemetery. Missouri was actually the daughter of Daniel
H. Brooks and Narcissa (Narcissus) Draughon. This is supported by
Missouri's death certificate (in my possession)." - Kevin

	Martha J. STOKES May 25, 1826 Sept 18, 1860 "William H. (Harbard) Stokes's first wife and my 3rd great-grandmother, Martha J. (Johnson) Stokes. She was the daughter of the Reverend Charles Green Johnson, the founder of Asbury Methodist Church. Rumor has it that there is a connection to the American Revolutionary general, Nathaniel Greene, through this line." - Kevin
	Margaret E[lizabeth] Wife of W. H. Stokes Born Sept 19, 1833 Fell Asleep Apr 2, 1904 "Margaret E. (Elizabeth) (Lee) Stokes, William's second wife. She is either a cousin or niece of General Robert E. Lee." - Kevin
