"Please note... There are a few references that associate Missouri Melvina
(Brooks) Dennard as being the daughter of John and Martha (Mercer) Brooks.
That is in error! They've apparently made that connection because they are
buried in the same cemetery. Missouri was actually the daughter of Daniel
H. Brooks and Narcissa (Narcissus) Draughon. This is supported by
Missouri's death certificate (in my possession)." - Kevin

Rumor has it that there is a connection to the American Revolutionary general, Nathaniel Greene, through this line." - Kevin
