DENNIS A. KEATING YIELDED TO DEATH

Died Yesterday After a Long Illness -- Was a Man Esteemed by All Who Knew Him

Dennis A. Keating died yesterday at 1:30 o'clock at the residence of his
sister, Miss Lizzie Keating, corner of Second and Walnut.

He was born in Savannah and came to Macon while a boy. He was engaged in
the undertaking business in this city for many years. Failing health
forced him to retire from business about two years ago. For a number of
years he was sexton at Rose Hill.

He was unmarried, and is survived by one sister. He was a communicant of
St. Joseph's Catholic church.

Dennis Keating has passed to his reward, but he will live in the memory of
many through the recollection of his loyalty as a friend, his many acts of
unobtrusive kindness, and the manly qualities that endeared him to those
who knew him best.

The funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church today at
4 o'clock, Rev. Father McDonnell officiating. The interment will be at
Rose Hill cemetery.

The following named gentlemen will act as pall-bearers: Phil Stephan, M.
O'Hara, J. O. McMillan, E. J. Burke, J. Tom Rodgers, W. A. Davis, Robert
Sheridan and P. H. Gambrell.
