MRS. HOLLINGSWORTH DIED EARLY MONDAY

Hundreds of people all over the state will be sorrowed to learn of the
death of Mrs. Mildred Hollingsworth, which took place at 4:30 o'clock
yesterday morning at her late residence on the corner of Pine and First streets.

Mrs. Hollingsworth was seventy-eight years old, and is survived by her
sons, Lon W. Hollingsworth and E. R. Hollingsworth, and by her daughter,
Mrs. O. D. Edwards. She was the widow of the late John Hollingsworth.

The funeral will take place from the family residence at 3 o'clock this
afternoon, Rev. T. D. Ellis officiating. The interment will be in Rose
Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Hollingsworth belonged to one of the pioneer and most distinguished
families of Georgia. Her father, Captain William Johnston, was an officer
in the Revolutionary War and did gallant service in the campaign against
Canada. For generations the family has played an important part in the
history of Macon always among the leaders of civic progress.

The deceased is mourned by a countless number of friends who have felt the
blessings of her life.
