Wesley Chapel & Cemetery
Established abt 1848 & located in Crawford County, GA. Many Fort Valley, Houston (later Peach) County, GA residents attended.

Trustees of Wesley Chapel Methodist church about 1883:
Reverend Jefferson Wright and his son, Benjamin;
Thomas O. Vinson;
Thomas W. Young, grandfather of Bernard A. Young; and
Samuel Lowe.

Among the early members of the church were the grandparents of Thomas O. Vinson, Henry and Sara Reed Vinson, and his parents, William G. and Lydia Graydon Vinson. Other Vinsons were Ike and Amanda, parents of Robert and Edward; John F., father of Ellen Vinson Hartley; Josephine; Elizabeth; and Lucy. John Barnes was another member. Some families who were members at Wesley Chapel were the Bryants, the Davises, the Dukes, the Hartleys, and the Averas. Many are buried in the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
